Texas Bus Roundup

TBR 2008

Our second rally was held on September 11-14. This brought us some new campers fleeing from Hurricane Ike that was hitting the Texas coastline. The weather was not that great, periods of rain and wind. We had fun anyway! Mike C. brought us some tarps to use at the pavilion to keep out the wind and rain. It made a big difference for our gatherings keeping us all dry.

Ronnie brought his smoker again and we feasted on brisket for dinner and some great fixin's for breakfast. We had food left over as our showing this year was a couple down from the first one. The weather and other commitments kept people away. Several new faces this year over last. Randy and Sue stopped by with their Prevost, they had just started to full time and were showing off their newly built coach. John and Tami was the couple fleeing the hurricane, so they thought why not go to a bus rally. They added another dog to their family, a sister to Sonnie's Little Bit.

We had quite a few people driving through looking at the buses, one couple rode their bikes over and said they owned an MCI and would like to come next year. Well they did, Kwan and Chun Kim drove up in their MCI in 2009

We all had a great time and already looking forward to the next one.
